If you live in California, I bet you’d agree that we’ve had a gorgeous fall, which makes being outside almost like being in a movie where Tom Hanks would give Meg Ryan a bouquet of newly sharpened pencils while the Cranberries played and shopkeepers open their doors for the morning rush.  Name that movie?

It also makes it a gorgeous time to do family photo shoots outside!  And I had the chance to do an impromptu styling for a high school friend and her family before they got in front of the the lens.  She already had an outfit for hubby and oldest son, so we coordinated the other three boys, and most importantly…her!  I think it came together kinda great.  Key principle applied:  use the same color palette for all subjects, but mix up how they are worn and applied.  I think our best find was the brown cordy jacket for her third.  Such a little man!

Big thanks to Ezra of Ezra Gordon Photography for the use of his images!  Check him out at http://www.ezragordon.com.
